Directions to Galax City Schools

Directions to Galax City School Board Office from Interstate 77

Take Exit#14 and go west on Highway 58 to Galax (approx. 10 miles)
Just past the red caboose on the right side of the road, turn left at the stoplight on Route 89/Main Street to downtown Galax
Go 1 mile and turn right onto Long Street, just past Mink's 2 Car Lot)
The School Board Office is a two-story, white house at the top of the hill on the left across from the Galax High School football field.

Directions to Galax High School from Interstate 77

Take Exit#14 and go west on Highway 58 to Galax (approx. 10 miles)
Just past the red caboose on the right side of the road, turn left at the stoplight on Route 89/Main Street to downtown Galax
Travel nearly .85 miles through downtown and past Felts Park on your left. Main Street will curve to the left while Maroon Tide Drive actually continues straight up the hill. At that same intersection, you will see "The Herb Shop" on your right - just go straight from Main Street up the hill on Maroon Tide Drive, which will curve to your right halfway up the hill. At the top of the hill, turn into the High/Middle Schools on your Left.
The High School Main Office is just inside the front entrance through the arched framework on the right side of the building.

Directions to Galax Middle School from Interstate 77

Take Exit#14 and go west on Highway 58 to Galax (approx. 10 miles)
Just past the red caboose on the right side of the road, turn left at the stoplight on Route 89/Main Street to downtown Galax.
Travel nearly .85 miles through downtown and past Felts Park on your left. Main Street will curve to the left while Maroon Tide Drive actually continues straight up the hill. (You will see "The Herb Shop" on your right.) Just go straight from Main Street up the hill on Maroon Tide Drive, which will curve to your right halfway up the hill. At the top of the hill, turn in to the High & Middle Schools on your Left.
The Middle School entrance is to the left when you enter the parking lot.

Directions to Galax Elementary School from Interstate 77

Take Exit#14 and go west on Highway 58 to Galax (approx. 10 miles)
Just past the red caboose on the right side of the road, turn left at the stoplight on Route 89/Main Street to downtown Galax
Travel nearly .85 miles through downtown, past Felts Park and the Galax Recreation Center on your left. Right across from there, you will see "The Herb Shop" on your right and will want to take a sharp right turn onto MacArthur Street.
Follow MacArthur up the hill and you’ll see the Elementary School on your right. The Main Entrance is around the front of the building and through the second set of doors (down the stairs.) You will find the Office up the stairs from the Main Entrance.
